Historical Voice
Historical voice is a term I use to describe speaking in first person as a historical figure - much like a living historian would. this is one of my favorite projects because it requires the student to dig into the story behind the history of the person being research. Who were they? What were they like? How did events affect them? I think it is important to remember that the historical events we learn about with such certainty were just daily lives to these people. There was no certain future as history unfolded.
